Transition from a C programmer to Embedded Programmer happens during this phase. As a part of Embedded Core you will be learning three modules - Micro Controllers, Linux Internals and Embedded Linux.
The MC module deals with writing an Embedded C program for Hardware with PIC micro-controller. The Linux Internals module gives you a hands-on perspective of using system calls, the API interface provided by Linux Kernel. The Embedded Linux module enables you to create a customized Embedded Linux distribution and bring it up on ARM based target hardware.

Lexical Analyzer is a program which converts the stream of individual characters, normally arranged as lines into the stream of lexical tokens. Tokenization for instance of words and punctuation symbols that make up source code. The main purpose/goal of the project is to take in a C file and produce the sequence of tokens that can be used for the next stage in compilation.
This should also take care of necessary error handling conditions that may occur during tokenization.
The Embedded Linux Mini shell Project is a command-line interface (CLI) designed to execute custom user-defined commands. This project involves porting the mini shell (msh) onto an ARM-based embedded target, providing hands-on experience in Embedded Linux. It focuses on key concepts like process creation, signal handling, synchronization, and exit status management.
Additionally, it explores text parsing and the init process, highlighting system-level interactions. By bridging theory and practical application, this project deepens understanding of embedded systems development.
This project aims to build a basic web-based chat application using TCP/IP sockets in a Linux LAN environment. A concurrent server runs on one machine, while clients from other LAN machines connect to it. Upon connection, clients authenticate using a username-password stored in a simple text-based database. By the end of the Offline Embedded Systems course, students have two options – Either go for Emertxe certification or the one from Government of India certification via Skill India.
In case you opting for Emertxe certificate, you can reach out to our student success team. They will be providing it to you. In case you are opting for Skill India certification, you need to watch out for a communication from our placements team.
For Skill India certification, students need to appear for an assessment with NSDC / ESSCI expert panel. Assessment will be based on our course curriculum, which students studied for the period of 6 months*. Upon successfully clearing the assessment certificate will be provided from NSDC / ESSCI along with the mention of Emertxe as the Training Provider (TP).

Typically, placement opportunities for our Embedded Systems students begin after the 4th month onwards. To be eligible, students must first acquire foundational skills in Linux and programming languages (C/C++ & Data Structures modules) and clearing our placement eligibility process. Placement assistance remains available throughout the course and extends up to two years after the course completion.
